My gift for Patrick

Today is Patrick's barfsday, so I made this for him. I peeked at a photo for the head, but the rest is freehand pencil with ink done over it. He loved it, so yay.

Also, my friend Ben did this nifty little video set behind my sketch as he avoided writing his final paper.

VERY ROUGH SKETCH

This drawing is the image that a song puts into my head, and also sort/of a reflection of tonight's events (holy crow, is that emo of me, or what?) -but I have been seeing this image for a long time, just tonight was moved to finally try and create it. What song? Well, maybe one or two of you can guess from looking (and knowing me) but I don't feel like telling. I will give you a hint in that it is from before the year 2000. If you guess right, I will also tell you. Also, this is such a supremely rough drawing so be nice, please! I am debating inking and coloring it with my 99 cent paint kit. Input?

...Finally. Enjoy. I promise I have a lot more stuff that I am just not putting up here because I am a bitch like that. Also, I'm not allowed to draw right now, so whatever.

More watercolor

So that 99 cent watercolor kit is really getting some use. Here are a few more drawings I did (yup, they're on Facebook, too- but I now know more than just my fecesbook friends look here). Hope you like them :)

WATERCOLOR!

My Mom is currently out of town and left me in charge of Little Sister. Let us all question her judgment together in this poorly drawn comic.
Ok, so it was only a $1 Crayola paint kit, but whatever. I bought it and then made this (pics taken with my mobile's camera, so obviously it's poor quality):

This is my Mom!

This is my little sister (left), who is 17, and me (right) who is a late-20's adult!

It goes like this: Little Sister is saying: "Um, please look at what you are leaving in charge of me!"
I am saying: "Hey, come look at this douche-bag's haircut!"
And our MOM is saying "Don't say "Douche-Bag!" but is also thinking "What the #@&* is a "douche-bag?"

So THERE. Pics= Proof! Also, I have been keeping up on my comic-a-day rule, so yay me!

Been a While

...Honestly I have been pretty busy and I get pretty pissed off at Photoshop because I still don't know how to work it properly (and am too impatient to watch a tutorial), so mostly I have been doing paper drawings, with some occasional scribbles on my Wacom.

So here is my promise to you, random person who stumbles upon this page (and Maggie and Jasper, who I know sometimes think to look here): I have started a new comic, which is going to be very rough copies and go in sporadic order until it is finished. I have committed myself to making one comic each day. Sometimes this will be on paper, sometimes it will be on the Wacom. When it is a Wacom drawing, I will post it here. My random scribbles and such will go up here, too. You will get to see some of those now because I did some work on my charecters tonight before I swore profusely and switched to pencil and paper. I know this is not a promise of regular updates, but it is at least something, and let's be honest: no one really looks at this, anyways.

Annnnnywho, I'm out of the city until Sunday, so maybe I will force some work time upon myself, who knows? All I know is no matter what, I'm going to draw one comic a day.

I really wish I had a scanner to post the rough sketch of the comic I made tonight. It really is brilliant.

New Drawings

These are on my facebook, too- so sorry if you are my friend on there and wanting to see *new* material. One is a turtle. One is a self-portrait. Guess which is which.

Jesse and Soozie vs. St.Paul

Ok, so bare with me on this one. Remember the point is for me to make really quick, shitty comics because I am saving the really good stuff for eleventy-seventy...

Yesterday my friend Jesse and I went essplorin' in St.Paul...turns out some of the best things we would see would be on our drive back home...

I hope you guys like it :)

If Ted were a hastily drawn Wacom Cartoon...

He would look something like this:WOOO! School is done so I am going to draw and weld and make all kinds of crazy random things! Also, I am going to WORK :/

FUH!

Ok so I have been busy with finals and actually GROUNDED myself from playing with my Wacom Tablet as well as the new Soldering Gun and Mini-Welder thingy I got...BUT...I just finished my last paper and decided to reward myself with some drawing time! I'm super frustrated though, because Photoshop decided midway through my first drawing that "black" no longer meant "black," but instead a greenish color. I tried to fix it and it didn't work so this drawing is a bit messed up. I got annoyed and quit.

Hopefully it works correctly next time (and I did try closing it and re-opening it, I just don't know what the hell I am doing yet) because I had GREAT stuff (in my opinion) to draw about today.

...Maybe I will just draw it in green? Anyways, I just took a second look at the drawing and decided it was too crappy to put up :/ But I promise to add some more soon!

Weekend!

So it's pretty late and I am extra tired/sun burned/headachey, so I did not feel like addressing the issues Photoshop felt like tossing my way tonight. The result is a comic nowhere NEAR like I had pictured in my head, but still based on the directions Sprinkles gave me, so here you go:

Wacom Drawing!

Just a quick self portrait on the Wacom! :D I have had this for almost a year now but have not been able to use it because of lack of photoshop/computer...so this is probably only the 6th drawing I have EVER made using the Wacom! Hope it's ok...

More comics!

You can't read it because it is blurry, but what is going on here is called "Asshole secretary man at the MCTC counseling office. He is telling me (between LOUD chomps on his bubble gum) "We don' have no openin's -CHOMP CHOMP!- you gon' be waitin' a long time!" I am telling him "Jesus your client-relations rock!"

"No Food; Pen"

The squirrel is staring.I am staring at the squirrel.
This is very blurry, but it is me sitting at a picnic table. There are squirrels sitting there with me and a bunch of pigeons on the ground by us going "cooo cooo cooo." I am baffled by their presence.
(Panel 1)So there are now 3 squirrels glaring at me. I try to think of something that will placate them "um...hmmmm...". They want food, and I don't have any. (Panel 2)"Pen?" No.(Panel 3) "Glasses lense?" No. (Panel 4)"Dr.Pepper Chapstick?" Which elisists "SCREEE!" from them as they dive for it.(Panel 4) I run away in a panic. The bottom of the drawing read "Loring Park Squirrels Are Scary" but that bit was cut off.

That's all for now!

Here is a comic

So yesterday I went to see the new Star Trek movie with Jon. While we waited for the movie to start I showed him some drawings I did and this conversation occurred.
I decided to use this site to post random scribbles and drawings of things that happen to me during the day/week/what have you. Things that are not good enough for eleventy-seventy or that will need to be re-drawn and re-written. Essentially, just random shit. Hope you like it.
